Job Description: The Intellectual Property Group of Armstrong Teasdale LLP seeks experienced lateral associates for immediate assistance with the preparation, prosecution, opinion writing, licensing, and enforcement of patents for a diverse clientele.  Successful candidates will have the exciting opportunity to advance their careers by learning from and working closely with energetic, highly experienced patent practitioners in a friendly, cooperative work environment.

Armstrong Teasdale LLP is a leading general practice law firm with nearly 300 attorneys practicing in eleven locations across the U.S. and an office in Shanghai, China, and was recently named by Working Mother magazine as one of the best law firms in the nation for women.  The Intellectual Property Group has about 30 registered patent attorneys and is growing to meet the needs of its expanding clientele.  The IP group specializes in serving corporate clients of all sizes from Fortune 100 companies to early stage companies.

Job Requirements: The position requires motivated candidates who possess a minimum of two years of patent experience.  Interested candidates must possess good interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients directly, demonstrate an ability to work productively without being micromanaged, and show a strong interest in advancing a career in intellectual property law.

Excellent academic credentials are necessary along with admission into a state bar and registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Post-Graduate scientific degrees are a plus.
