The “clean label” concept is expanding by leaps and bounds. It started in the food industry, but producers of dietary supplements, cosmetics, animal products, consumer products and even restaurants are also jumping on board to participate. However, despite industry’s massive embrace of this voluntary program, we see countless class action lawsuits against companies that use “clean label” concepts incorrectly. Learn why these companies are getting in trouble based on issues related to ingredient sourcing, supply chains, and label and labeling claims. We will cover all of these issues and outline best practices to manage a clean label product and mitigate legal risk.
