Ed Spalty Named Chair-elect of the Lex Mundi Litigation Group

Edward R. Spalty, a litigation partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s Kansas City office, has been named chair-elect of the Lex Mundi Litigation, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution practice group. His two-year term as chair of the practice group will begin in October, 2011.

Spalty, whose practice focuses on antitrust, distribution and franchise law, has served as managing attorney of Armstrong Teasdale’s Kansas City office, and chaired its Business Litigation and Antitrust, Franchise and Distribution Groups.
As national counsel for two of the world’s largest franchisors, Spalty represents over twenty of the most famous hundred franchise brands, and is outside general counsel to one of the best known national health care non-profits. He received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 1973 and his B.A. from Emory University in 1968.
