Stockberger and Kaveney Co-Author, "Missouri Tort Reform," Journal of The Missouri Bar (November-December 2006)

Jim Stockberger and Brian Kaveney co-authored an article titled, “Missouri Tort Reform,” examining the new legislation’s effects on venue, joint and several liability, the collateral source rule, and punitive damages as well as discuss best practices for litigating in this new environment. Since August 28, 2006, the effective date of Missouri Tort Reform legislation, trial court opinions reflect the impact of tort reform legislation in Missouri. From venue issues to the admissibility of medical bills at trial, the new legislation has changed the day-to-day practice of Missouri attorneys.
