Appellate

The lawyers in the Appellate practice group have handled hundreds of appeals in civil and criminal litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. They have briefed and argued cases involving a wide variety of claims, including: breach of contract, UCC, lender liability, product liability, insurance coverage (including bad faith claims), antitrust, patent, trademark, tortious interference with contract or business expectancy, FELA, and personal injury.

In addition to overseeing appeals in all cases tried by lawyers in the firm, members of the Appellate practice group are frequently retained to handle or assist with post-trial motions and appeals in lawsuits tried by lawyers in other firms. Members of the Appellate practice group can also provide assistance to trial counsel to ensure all issues are preserved and assist in preparation of post-trial motions, as well as evaluate the strength of possible appeal before substantial expense is incurred.
