Real Estate
We represent national and local developers, lenders, investors, institutional and corporate
owners, governmental and quasi-governmental entities, users,
managers, construction companies and brokers in all areas of real estate law. We assist our borrower clients in increasing their liquidity needs through the creation of a variety of organizational financing structures, including special purpose entities to effectuate commercial mortgage backed or other securitized transactions. The
practice is dynamic and includes a large volume
of work for developers and governmental entities in both
incentive-based redevelopment and traditional projects. In
redevelopment projects, the real estate attorneys
work in project teams which include lawyers in the firm’s
Public Law and Finance Practice Group, negotiating incentives
and
assembling
properties by purchase or condemnation, and lawyers in the
Litigation Practice Group, defending and prosecuting condemnation
cases, land use disputes, intergovernmental conflicts and
litigation contesting the validity of permitting and
incentives.
