Daniel Sakaguchi is a member of the Litigation practice group and concentrates in the areas of commercial law, intellectual property, construction, telecommunications and ERISA. He has tried jury cases to verdict in state and federal courts and has significant bench trial and arbitration experience.
Intellectual Property. Daniel’s work in the intellectual property area consists of litigation involving copyright, trademark and patent infringement, unfair competition, and policing of franchise trademarks. Daniel also counsels proprietors on protecting their intangible property.
Construction. Representing owners, design professionals, and engineers, Daniel handles matters relating to construction or design defect and delay and mechanic’s liens.
Telecommunications. Daniel represents providers of telecommunications networks in technology-intensive disputes and provides counsel in regulatory and governmental matters.
ERISA. Daniel represents insurance companies and plan sponsors and administrators regarding ERISA disability and pension benefits claims.
Daniel also has significant experience in municipal land use, development and tax assisted financing, qui tam suits under the False Claims Act, and franchise litigation and arbitration.
