As an attorney in the Corporate Services practice group, Matt Schuckman serves companies in a broad range of industries in all phases of their development and growth. He focuses in the areas of general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and private capital emerging companies. Matt’s M.B.A., coupled with his legal experience, enables him to provide a unique and sympathetic viewpoint into organizational behaviors and motivations. A large portion of Matt’s time is spent counseling organizations on various aspects of the merger, acquisition and disposition of businesses and assets. He provides valuable assistance to business organizations by coordinating and managing acquisition and divestiture transactions from inception through post-closing. Handling deals with values ranging from hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions of dollars, Matt guides clients through pre-transaction planning and negotiation of letters of intent, due diligence investigations and data room management, and the drafting and negotiation of key transaction and closing documents.

Matt works with entrepreneurs and start-up companies as well as established and emerging growth companies in the structuring, restructuring and alignment of their business goals. He counsels clients regarding corporate formation and funding issues, including the negotiation of shareholders' agreements, partnership and operating agreements and joint venture documentation, as well as advising on the administration and governance of the business entity throughout its life cycle. Additionally, Matt aids in a wide array of commercial contracting issues including the negotiation and drafting of supply and manufacturing agreements and other vendor contracts and leases.
