Armstrong Teasdale Managing Partner Mike Chivell provides leadership to the firm’s 235-plus attorneys and nearly 240 staff members. He works closely with the management committee and senior staff to set Armstrong Teasdale’s direction.

Heavily involved in retention and recruiting efforts, Mike focuses on the expansion of all eight offices. Most recently, he guided the firm through the relocation of its St. Louis headquarters and coinciding rebranding campaign. Through the rebranding process, Armstrong Teasdale deepened its longstanding commitment to client service and reoriented its services around clients in a more holistic, consultative approach.

In his law practice, Mike concentrates in the areas of general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and project financing. He works with Fortune 500 companies to structure complex deals for developments, redevelopments, infrastructure projects, expansions, and other projects. He also represents title insurance companies in all types of claim disputes and coverage issues.

Mike serves as counsel to the board of directors of many privately-held and non-profit companies. In this role, he assists top management with financial and legal matters and advises them on rights, responsibilities, liabilities, and governance issues.
