A partner in the firm’s Banking and Financial Institutions practice group, Mike Wazlawek counsels local, regional and national financial institutions regarding the legal challenges and opportunities presented by the financial services industry.
Mike’s practice is primarily focused on representing both borrowers and lenders in the documentation and negotiation of a wide-range of financing transactions. He handles conventional asset-based loans as well as commercial and industrial loans, real estate based transactions and international financing arrangements. Mike also advises clients on tax credit and other public incentive based financing, including new market, low-income housing and state and federal tax credit projects.
In addition to assisting clients in lending transactions, Mike continually represents the interests of financial institutions in loan workout and debt restructuring matters.
Complimenting his financial services practice, Mike has extensive experience in real estate law. He represents clients in conjunction with the acquisition, sale, construction, development, leasing and management of real estate and development projects.
