Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Rafi served as a legal intern for the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Missouri. He was also a summer associate at the firm. During Rafi’s final year of law school, he represented clients through Washington University’s Criminal Justice Clinic at the St. Louis County Public Defender’s Office.
Rafi's inspiration to become a lawyer came from his work with crime victims through the Victim Services Unit in the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office. He also volunteered in Cap Haitien, Haiti with a St. Louis-based medical organization and saw first-hand that many of Haiti's public health issues were a direct result of a failed legal system and government corruption.
