Rob Reid is a registered U.S. patent attorney working in the firm’s Las Vegas office. He provides counseling through the various stages of product design and development for organizations ranging from start-up companies to Fortune 100 companies.

Preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, and ensuring that patents are not vulnerable to competitors’ challenges is the primary focus of Rob’s practice. He concentrates on matters in the electrical, mechanical and software areas. Rob also supports litigation activities in the intellectual property field.

Rob’s experience as an engineer aids him in preparing and prosecuting patent applications for a wide array of technologies including power systems, cloud computing, virtualization platforms, computer architecture and gaming systems. He also secures patents for renewable energy technologies, including solar and wind power.

Background

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Robert was employed at Intel Corporation for five years as an engineer in its validation department. While at Intel, he wrote software applications and performed hardware validation for new Intel motherboard chipsets and intelligent I/O controllers.
