Steve Jones is a member of the firm’s Business Services practice group. His practice encompasses a broad range of business law and services.

Steve has experience in the areas of corporate organization, finance and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, business succession and estate planning, commercial transactions, real estate, partnerships and joint ventures, tax exempt financing and many other facets of general corporate counseling and business law issues. He formerly served as Chair of the firm’s Business Services practice group (then consisting of nineteen departments in business practice areas) and Chair of the Corporate practice group. He has led the firm’s Hiring Committee and formerly served on the Compensation Committee. Steve has worked with numerous not-for-profit and charitable organizations as legal advisor and Board member.

Steve's experience includes work on local, national and international transactions. He has negotiated with governmental entities in a variety of contexts, directed complex corporate reorganizations and served as Bond Counsel. Mr. Jones serves as general counsel to some of the region’s larger privately held companies. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of a local bank holding company incorporated in Delaware and serves as a Director of a local privately owned company. Steve has published articles and lectured on various business law topics. His civic and charitable involvement has been recognized with several honors and awards.
