A member of the Litigation practice group, Todd Nissenholtz is a diligent trial attorney with a varied and highly successful practice concentrating in the areas of fire and electrical liability, products liability, tort, insurance, non-compete and construction.
Fire and Electrical Liability. Todd practices in all aspects of explosion, fire, and electrocution litigation, including products liability, class actions, and trials. He provides advice on matters arising out of gas, petroleum, chemical, and electrical fires and explosions, representing utility companies, businesses, and product manufacturers across the Country. He also consults preventatively to help organizations guard against problems and coordinates response teams, fire investigators, engineers, and company officials.
Products Liability/Tort. Todd represents both foreign and domestic companies and manufacturers in matters concerning a wide range of products such as forklifts, vehicles, heavy machinery, car jacks and consumer goods. He is also experienced in the defense of companies against alleged personal injuries resulting from inhalation, ingestion or contact with various toxic substances. Many of his cases involve catastrophic injuries or death related to trucking or commercial accidents or construction products involving life care planning and vocational rehabilitation. Todd goes above and beyond to learn the intricacies of a client’s product, then applies that knowledge to execute innovative techniques to achieve favorable results.
Insurance. On behalf of the insurer, Todd resolves complex coverage issues arising from first-party claims. He successfully handles first party insurance claims related to business interruption, life, property and extra-contractual liability.
Non-Compete/Trade Secrets. Todd works on employment matters arising from the allegations of misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of duty and infringement of intellectual property rights, including copyright and trademark issues. He also works to ensure the enforcement of non-compete, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements.
Construction. Representing general contractors, subcontractors and owners, Todd handles matters relating to construction or design defect and delay, mechanic’s liens and insurance coverage issues.
