Agribusiness and Food Practice Mentioned in Wall Street Journal Slack-Fill Litigation Story
In follow up to the News Alert our Agribusiness and Food practice group issued in July 2016, more and more conversation is surfacing about the rise of slack-fill litigation. Armstrong Teasdale was mentioned in a story today in The Wall Street Journal’s Law Blog titled, “Raisinets Boxes ‘Recklessly’ Underfilled, Lawsuit Alleges.” The article addresses a recently filed lawsuit claiming that only 60 percent of the Raisinets candy box actually contains chocolate-coated raisins. This follows several similar lawsuits industrywide and will continue trending in the coming year.
