Biography

Ashleigh Kaspari is an associate in Armstrong Teasdale’s Litigation practice group, where she handles disputes covering a range of issues for clients of all sizes.

Her background as a criminal defense investigator for the Colorado Public Defender’s Office and degree in criminology aid in her strong ability to research, analyze and support clients preparing for trial. She is well versed in all phases of discovery, trial preparation and case management.

Ashleigh is also a licensed private investigator in Colorado.

Background

Before joining Armstrong Teasdale full time, Ashleigh worked as a summer associate at the firm in both 2017 and 2018.

Prior to that, she was a criminal defense investigator for the Colorado Public Defender’s office, where she interviewed witnesses and coordinated testimony, and managed a caseload of 50-100. Before law school, Ashleigh was a legal assistant for a nonprofit in Colorado, where she helped provide legal services to low-income Coloradans.

During law school, Ashleigh completed over 100 hours of law-related public service work, satisfying the University of Colorado Law Public Service Pledge, with majority of the hours derived from working on the international legal team to protect Maya land rights in Belize. Ashleigh had the opportunity to litigate before the Caribbean Court of Justice, as well as the Belize Supreme Court. In addition to traveling to Belize on multiple occasions for trial, trial preparation and other hearings, Ashleigh traveled to Morocco and Argentina for comparative law courses, evaluating analytically the similarities and differences between the judicial systems of those countries and that of the U.S. 

In addition, Ashleigh externed for Magistrate Judge Scott T. Varholak in U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
