Brandy Scott has extensive experience in the intellectual property and patent space, including managing patent portfolios from filing to issuance for clients with U.S., Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and foreign patents.
Her work includes preparing draft patent applications and responses to office actions, and preparing information disclosure statements, powers of attorney, issue fees, petitions and terminal disclaimers.
Brandy also has experience conducting legal research, performing and reviewing trademark searches, and managing a variety of mandatory actions due with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. She has developed a keen attention to detail that lends itself to researching and reviewing specimens, and reviewing a wide range of materials, including ensuring proper trademark use on marketing materials and packaging.
Brandy also has experience performing due diligence searches in the realms of patents, trademarks, copyrights and domain names, as well as working closely with inventors to provide jurisdictional patent rule information.
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Brandy was an intellectual property paralegal at a St. Louis law firm. She also has experience as a senior patent paralegal and has served as an intellectual property analyst and research analyst.
