Biography
Carrie Schaffer is an experienced attorney focused on real estate development, including commercial real estate, construction, land use and zoning, with an emphasis on the cannabis industry.
Carrie advises clients on association bylaws, commercial leases, commercial development, site plans, and special use and variance zoning. She drafts and reviews contracts and is experienced in negotiation. Further, she is well versed in working with local authorities on behalf of clients.
Carrie is also skilled in acquisitions and has worked with clients ranging from fitness centers to equestrian centers. Her experience ranges from drafting asset purchase agreements to conducting extensive research on title and mineral issues. She has significant experience drafting, negotiating and editing commercial landlord/tenant leases, as well as extensive experience in zoning and entitlement issues.
Background
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Carrie served as an associate at a full-service cannabis and hemp business law firm based in Colorado. She has also worked as a paralegal and operations analyst/project manager.
