Armstrong Teasdale Announces New Partners

Armstrong Teasdale LLP announces the addition of Richard L. Brophy, Erin M. Florek, Dione C. Greene, James M. Heinen, Jr. and Christopher R. LaRose to its partnership effective January 1, 2015.

Brophy is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group and represents clients in complex intellectual property matters in state, federal and appellate courts throughout the United States. His practice encompasses many areas of complex civil litigation including patents, copyrights, trademarks, antitrust and unfair competition. Brophy received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Florek, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, assists chemical, biochemical and other life sciences-based companies in preparing and protecting U.S. and international patents. She is admitted to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Florek received her J.D., cum laude, from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi.

Greene, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, represents corporations, school districts, small businesses and individuals in employment litigation, franchise and insurance matters. He has successfully tried cases in federal and state court. Admitted to practice law in Kansas and Missouri, he received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor on the Indiana Law Journal, and B.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Heinen, a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications and provides opinion-related work (validity, freedom-to-operate, etc.) for clients in the chemical and biochemical industries. He is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Virginia, the District of Columbia and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Heinen received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Maryland School of Law and B.A. from Miami University – Oxford, Ohio.

LaRose, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, counsels clients regarding distressed loans, loan work-outs or other litigation relating to unpaid debts. His experience extends to cases in the area of white-collar criminal defense and governmental compliance issues. Admitted to practice law in Missouri and Illinois, LaRose received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.A. from Northwestern University.
