Take Action Now - Sweeping Title IX Changes Effective 8/14
On May 6, 2020, the Department of Education (DOE) issued final regulations, which upon becoming effective on Aug. 14, will bring sweeping changes to Title IX policies and procedures for educational institutions accepting federal funds.
With the compliance deadline quickly approaching, we have been busy assisting colleges, universities and other educational institutions as they focus on the following compliance tasks:
- overhauling Title IX policies and procedures;
- preparing and delivering training on the new regulatory requirements; and
- updating nondiscrimination notices in handbooks and catalogs.
Our education attorneys regularly guide elementary, secondary and post-secondary institutions in their efforts to comply with Title IX. Please contact us should you need assistance or have any questions regarding the new Final Rule.
