Armstrong Teasdale Litigation partner Vance O. Knapp has been selected for the 2017 Colorado General Counsel Group (CGCG) Advisor Program.

Launched in 2015, the program is designed to assist diverse attorneys in building relationships with corporate clients in an increasingly competitive legal market. Starting Feb. 24, CGCG advisors including Knapp will have numerous opportunities to learn from and have an open dialogue with prominent in-house counsel and chief legal officers.

Knapp has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in all areas of employment law. Named a BTI Client Service All-Star in 2016 in the Labor and Employment area by BTI Consulting Group, Knapp primarily represents clients in internal investigations, employee terminations, ADA accommodation issues, discrimination and harassment claims and wage and hour matters. His experience also includes litigating employment law cases in federal and state courts, and through complex arbitrations. In addition, he counsels clients who have medical marijuana businesses as well as those in the agribusiness and food sector.

Outside of his practice, Knapp is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the National Employment Law Council, which is the largest management-side labor and employment bar association for diverse attorneys in the United States. He is also a member of the University of Colorado School of Law Diversity Committee; National Bar Association; Arizona Bar Association; Colorado Bar Association; Denver Bar Association; Sam Cary Bar Association (Colorado Affiliate of the National Bar Association); Defense Research Institute, Labor & Employment and Diversity Committees; and Colorado Society for Human Resource Management (Member and Resource Provider). And for more than eight years, he has been a board member for Disability Law Colorado (formerly The Legal Center for People with Disabilities and the Elderly).

Knapp earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law and B.A. in political science from Colorado State University. He is admitted to practice law in Colorado and Arizona, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Knapp is based in the firm’s Denver office.
