Biography
A member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, Evan Rodriguez capitalizes on his significant experience with Missouri state government and appellate review to represent clients in a variety of matters.
As former general counsel in the Missouri Governor’s Office, Evan advised the Governor, while also managing executive agencies in their legal matters and other issues. By the end of his tenure in the Governor’s Office, the Governor had appointed half of Missouri’s state court judges. He has in-depth experience navigating the legislative process and working with policymakers to produce legally sound outcomes. Evan clerked on the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, where he gained insight into appellate advocacy and judicial decision-making. Additionally, he has experience as a former assistant attorney general and is skilled at filing responsive and dispositive motions, conducting discovery, and briefing cases on appeal.

Background
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Evan clerked on the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and served as general counsel and deputy general counsel in the Missouri Governor’s Office. Before working in the Governor’s Office, he was a legislative analyst in the Missouri House of Representatives and an assistant attorney general in the Missouri Attorney General’s office.
