Biography
Evan Sullivan is an associate in the firm’s Litigation practice group. He has experience representing broker-dealers and investment advisers — including retail and wealth management firms — in SEC enforcement matters, and in connection with compliance and regulatory matters. Evan also has experience with inquiries, investigations and enforcement actions initiated by FINRA and the SEC.
His prior experience in the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District, U.S. Attorney’s Office in St. Louis, St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney’s Office has provided him with the opportunity to develop relationships with key members of the bench and bar and gain a deep understanding of the local court system.
Evan also has past experience in the financial services industry, which lends to his understanding of complex financial transactions, securities, tax, estate planning and benefits.

Background
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Evan was a judicial law clerk to the Hon. James M. Dowd of the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District. He previously served as a field placement intern in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in St. Louis, where he assisted both the civil and criminal divisions.
Before that, he held various roles including as a Rule 13 law student in the St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and as an intern in the St. Louis City Circuit Attorney’s Office. Evan also has experience at other St. Louis area law firms as a law clerk and summer associate.
Earlier in his career, Evan spent several years as a financial advisor, Series 7 and 66, for a St. Louis financial management firm.
