Artificial Intelligence for Lawyers
Artificial Intelligence is perceived as mysterious and complex. It doesn’t always have to be.
Francisco Villegas presented a 90-minute CLE designed to help lawyers better interact with AI stakeholders, such as scientists, business owners and executives.
The first part of the presentation concerned technical concepts that underlie AI. Then, with the technical primer, the group took a survey of recent developments at the intersection of data science and law, and explored how laws and regulations can trigger AI legal liabilities. Finally, the group reviewed tort and contract law to assess how old common law precedent may have new relevance and risks.
