Johann Eckert founded Eckert's in 1830, just 24 years after Lewis & Clark completed their journey. There were 24 states; Missouri joined as the 24th in 1821. Eckert's is one of the oldest family businesses in the St. Louis area. Chris Eckert is the 7th generation family member to serve as CEO. He works with three family members and a few trusted non-family managers to lead the organization. Eckert's has always been a farm-based business. Eckert's is the largest pick your own fruit operation in the country, and today, it is much more. Eckert's is a destination for family entertainment.
