Jesse S. Harper

Jesse Harper is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group that oversees patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret and related matters. A registered U.S. patent attorney, Jesse is also well-versed in other legal areas within the field of intellectual property.

A key part of Jesse’s practice involves preparing and prosecuting U.S and foreign patent applications. In this service, he guides clients through the patent application process with an eye toward alternatives and risks.

Jesse's background in chemical engineering enables him to have a special understanding of the chemical and mechanical industries. Because of this, his practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in technical disciplines such as industrial power generation, the aerospace industry, and chemical processes and formulations. Moreover, Jesse regularly prepares and prosecutes computer-implemented based patent applications.

In litigious situations, Jesse provides enforcement strategies and counsels clients in pre-litigation enforcement of rights by performing infringement and freedom-to-operate analyses.

Prior to joining the firm, Jesse acted as a patent agent with General Electric.
