Armstrong Teasdale Adds Lawyers Mamie Ling, James McConkey, Melanie King
Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Senior Associate Mamie Ling, Solicitor James McConkey, and Associate Melanie E. King. They are among more than 180 lawyers and staff professionals who have joined Armstrong Teasdale in 2022 alone.
Ling joins the firm’s Denver office and represents clients in a variety of industries through all phases of litigation, including investigations, discovery, trial, and post-trial procedures and appeals. Her experience includes working with clients in retail and hospitality, real estate, construction, transportation and public entities in matters involving contractual disputes, product liability, construction defect, governmental immunity and premises liability. She is also experienced at working on complex, high-profile cases.
McConkey is among the first cohorts in the U.K. to qualify as a solicitor through the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) route, a rigorous process that includes a two-stage examination assessment as well as degree prerequisite and qualifying work experience. He advises employers and employees on various contentious and non-contentious employment matters. McConkey has versatile experience dealing with a variety of employment law matters such as dismissals, redundancies, discrimination, contractual disputes, restrictive covenants and employment litigation. He acts for both employers and employees across all industries, with a particular focus on the education sector. He was a paralegal at Armstrong Teasdale prior to qualifying as a solicitor.
King is a member of the Intellectual Property practice group in St. Louis and is skilled at in-depth legal research and analysis, document review and writing motions. With a background in public health and government, she has experience creating and implementing community health initiatives, as well as conducting legal research on changes to health law policies and their potential effects on future litigation.
