Armstrong Teasdale Adds Partner Joshua Horvitz, Associate Allyson Stavis
Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Partner Joshua B. Horvitz and Associate Allyson P. Stavis to the firm’s Financial and Real Estate Services practice group, and the Philadelphia and New York offices, respectively. They are among more than 130 lawyers and staff professionals who have joined Armstrong Teasdale in 2022 alone.
Horvitz represents businesses and individuals in a wide variety of real estate transactions, business, tax, land use and zoning matters. He has provided services in connection with numerous complex real estate transactions, including frequent representation involving the acquisition, sale, leasing and financing of commercial real estate. Josh also routinely represents private individuals and families in the purchase and sale of residential homes, condominium units and investment properties.
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Horvitz was a partner at a full-service law firm in Philadelphia. He also previously worked as a motion court law clerk for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Stavis focuses her practice on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate disputes. This includes a specific emphasis on litigation against sponsor/developers for failure to construct buildings in accordance with offering plans; proceedings at both the trial court and appellate levels against tenants who are noncompliant with governing documents; and general counseling to boards of managers of condominiums and boards of directors of cooperatives.
Stavis also has experience with commercial litigation, and the defense of insurance matters, with a particular emphasis on the defense of actions brought against directors and officers of cooperative and condominium boards.
