Armstrong Teasdale Adds Partner Luke Mette in Wilmington
Armstrong Teasdale announces the addition of Partner Luke W. Mette joining the firm in Wilmington, Delaware. He adds to the roster of more than 340 attorneys at Armstrong Teasdale throughout the U.S. and U.K.
Armstrong Teasdale opened offices in both Wilmington and Salt Lake City in the past year, adding attorneys and professional staff across practice areas. Mette and Washburn, both litigators, bring decades of experience in criminal defense, an area in which the firm has added over a dozen skilled practitioners in recent years. The firm’s deep bench includes a former SEC enforcement attorney, state securities officials and former federal prosecutors, including members of the U.S. Attorney’s Office across jurisdictions.
Mette has more than 30 years of broad legal experience in both the private and public sectors. His diverse background in private practice, as in-house counsel and for public and municipal entities enables him to skillfully transfer deep knowledge in litigation, compliance and commercial negotiations to each client representation. Mette has represented clients in high-profile white-collar criminal prosecutions and has managed the defense of both U.S. and non-U.S. government investigations. His civil litigation experience includes product liability, class action, shareholder and patent litigation matters. While in-house for a major multinational pharmaceutical company, Mette served as a member of the leadership team for a 125-lawyer global department, and jointly led and managed lawyers who supported operations in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Luke served as Chief Disciplinary Counsel for the Supreme Court of the State of Delaware.
