Armstrong Teasdale’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) department is proud to announce that Partners Michael Freimann and Robert Reeser have been named co-leads of the Veterans and Military Service resource group.

The group, which launched in 2021, joins veterans, active service members or retirees, family members of veterans, and allies for military service. The group provides opportunities for professional and personal growth through active discussion, sponsorship, client engagement and community outreach.

Most recently, in honor of Veterans Day in the U.S., Armstrong Teasdale lawyers and staff recognized more than 60 veterans – including the firm’s lawyers and staff, family members and friends. The DEI department also committed to making charitable donations to veteran-serving organizations across markets including the Semper Fi America’s Fund, Forces for Food, Giving Back Outdoors, Veterans Community Project, Veterans Legal Services, Dogs for our Brave and Wounded Warriors.

Reeser served for several years in the U.S. Air Force, where he was selected from among 2,500 candidates as the 1990 Military Airlift Command Officer of the Year. Today, as a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice, Reeser guides inventors, startups and a wide array of companies in leveraging their technology into white spaces.

Freimann is currently the state staff judge advocate for the Colorado Air National Guard and holds the rank of colonel. In this role, he acts as the general counsel for commanders and first sergeants providing advice and guidance on a wide range of military legal issues, rooted in more than 20 years of legal experience. In his civilian capacity, Michael assists military members facing courts-martial, administrative boards and any other disciplinary and administrative issues. He also maintains Top Secret Security Clearance.
