Biography

Michael Shariff is a patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group. Based on his background in electrical engineering, Michael is well-versed in multiple programming languages including C++, MATLAB, JavaScript and LabVIEW. He also has experience with electric motors as well as digital and analog circuits. Michael works alongside firm attorneys to draft patent applications, as well as assist in patent prosecution including patentability searches, office actions, information disclosure statements and republication checking in various areas.

Background

Prior to joining the firm, Michael spent several years as a research assistant at Missouri University of Science & Technology, where he worked on antenna design and microwave imaging. Michael also previously worked as a consulting engineer designing medium voltage power systems for health care facilities.
