Alec Harris Joins Armstrong Teasdale’s Denver Office
Armstrong Teasdale, a law firm with offices across the United States, proudly announces the addition of trial lawyer Alec Harris. Focusing primarily on commercial litigation, Harris defends and prosecutes a wide variety of claims for his clients.
His background in economics, public policy and consumer protection helps him address his clients’ business and regulatory needs. In addition, Harris’ experience with media relations, administrative proceedings, trial court litigation and appeals makes him a far-sighted and effective advocate for his clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Harris was a staff attorney at Harvard Law School’s Predatory Lending and Consumer Protection Clinic, where he served as lead attorney in federal district court litigation regarding federal student aid programs and represented borrowers in a variety of administrative proceedings.
Harris has also served as a fellow assistant Attorney General at the Colorado Department of Law, where he worked for the Colorado Solicitor General. He also clerked for Justice Nathan B. Coats of the Colorado Supreme Court and worked as a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Justice. Before law school, Alec was a fiscal policy analyst for the Colorado Fiscal Policy Institute.
Harris earned his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and B.A. in economics from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice law in Colorado.
