Armstrong Teasdale Adds Attorneys in Wilmington, London, Philadelphia
Armstrong Teasdale announces that Of Counsel Joseph J. Gribbin and Associates Mark Galli and Kristen Mowery have joined the firm in Wilmington, Delaware; London, England; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, respectively. They add to the roster of more than 340 attorneys at Armstrong Teasdale throughout the U.S. and U.K. Armstrong Teasdale opened offices in both Wilmington and London in the past year, adding attorneys and professional staff across practice areas.
Gribbin focuses on patent litigation in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware and has extensive experience across multiple technologies and industry sectors, with particular knowledge in the medical device and life sciences industries. He has in-depth experience representing clients in infringement and validity matters before trial courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also skilled in handling international trade secret disputes and matters involving patent licensing. Gribbin’s background in chemical engineering, including experience serving as a refinery chemical engineer, lends to his understanding of complex concepts and processes, which he then applies strategically to protect his clients’ most valuable assets. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, focusing on representing U.S. veterans who have been denied disability benefits before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
Galli is engaged in the sports, media and entertainment and intellectual property practice areas. With several years of experience, he has advised prominent sports organisations, major video game publishers and global technology clients on a wide range of matters. Having advised on copyright issues in the context of sports broadcasting, sports data rights and brand protection matters, Galli is well placed to assist our sports, media and entertainment clients on a diverse range of issues in the dynamic environments in which they operate. He has also advised on commercial licensing, sponsorship, events management and regulatory developments within the sector, and now focuses on supporting our clients with their commercial activities. For technology clients, Galli has provided counsel on complex contractual agreements, both in commercial and contentious contexts, and has leveraged his experience to assist entrepreneurs and startups, offering practical advice on prominent IP and commercial issues.
Mowery has extensive experience conducting trademark availability searches and drafting opinions; filing trademark registration applications based on use and intent to use; and responding to office actions issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). In addition, she has provided clients with sound counsel as it relates to trademark portfolio development, protection and enforcement under federal and common law. Regularly advising clients on branding matters, Mowery also has experience drafting and filing complaints, motions and briefs in various litigation matters. As such, she has assisted clients in preparing for deposition and drafted complex memoranda detailing research findings, opinions and litigation strategies.
