Armstrong Teasdale Earns Top Marks in 2020 Corporate Equality Index

January 21, 2020 Press Releases

Armstrong Teasdale has earned the highest possible score on the 2020 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

This is the fifth year in a row that Armstrong Teasdale has earned a 100% score. The survey is administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of America’s largest LGBTQ civil rights organization.

Armstrong Teasdale joins the ranks of 680 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks on the annual scorecard.

“Having clearly defined goals has helped us hold ourselves accountable, drive inclusive practices in our business, and celebrate our differences,” said Sarah Sise, Partner and Inclusion Committee Co-chair. “We’ve made an investment in our attorneys and staff aligned with our strategic goal of promoting diversity, inclusion and equitable treatment, and they’re engaged in driving those efforts in the year ahead.”

The 2020 CEI rated 1,059 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBTQ-related policies and practices including nondiscrimination workplace protections, employment benefits, organizational competency and accountability programs, public commitment to the LGBTQ community and responsible citizenship. Armstrong Teasdale’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria have resulted in a 100% ranking and designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
