Armstrong Teasdale Elects Four to Ten-Person Executive Committee

Armstrong Teasdale’s equity partners have elected Jovita M. Foster, Raymond R. Fournie, Daniel J. Godar and Daniel K. O'Toole to serve three year terms on the firm’s 10-person executive committee.  Foster is a new member while Fournie, Godar and O’Toole were re-elected.

Foster leads both the firm’s Employment and Labor group and its Diversity Committee. In her practice, Foster represents Fortune 100 and 500 companies, government agencies, municipalities and higher education systems in employment matters. She also serves as general counsel to the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis.  Foster received her J.D. in 2000 from Washington University School of Law, and B.A. in 1997 from the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Fournie, a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, is a nationally recognized asbestos defense lawyer. He has served as national trial counsel for major asbestos clients and tried cases across the country. In addition, he has managed and disposed of thousands of asbestos cases filed in Madison County. Fournie received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1979 and B.S. from the University of Illinois in 1973.

Godar, a member of the firm’s Corporate Services practice group, counsels public and private corporations on a broad spectrum of legal issues. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, drafting and review of commercial contracts, health care and energy law. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1980 and B.A. from the University of Missouri - Columbia in 1977.

O’Toole, the firm’s Litigation practice group leader, focuses on employment and labor law. He defends clients in all facets of employment litigation as well as helping them guard against the threat of suits involving a variety of personnel matters including work force reductions, restructuring and compliance. He received his J.D. from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Law in 1990 and B.A. from Southwest Missouri State University in 1987.
