AT Emerging Companies Group Opens CORTEX Technology District Location
In an effort to better serve emerging technology companies, Armstrong Teasdale is now leasing space in St. Louis’ CORTEX technology district. The firm’s office is located on the second floor of the @4240 building.
The firm’s decision to open the CORTEX office is closely aligned with its Emerging Companies industry group, chaired by partners Matt Kitzi and Jennifer Byrne. The group provides a full range of services to startup companies including entity selection and formation, capital raising and financing, intellectual property and employee incentive programs.
“We believe having a presence closer to the startup community helps build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with young companies,” said Mike Chivell, managing partner. “Entrepreneurs who get the right advice early on can avoid costly mistakes, minimize time to market, and offer potential investors greater confidence that their companies will succeed.”
The office is manned by attorneys skilled in corporate services, intellectual property, employment, real estate and other legal areas most needed by startup companies. Each attorney brings a wealth of business acumen and experience in helping fuel the growth of numerous startup and emerging technology-related businesses.
The CORTEX district, which houses growing technology and biomedical science companies, covers more than 200 acres in central St. Louis. The @4240 building, located at the corner of Duncan and Boyle Avenues, is rehabilitated space that once served as a Western Electric-Southwestern Bell Distribution building.
