Ebonie Davis Named to Law Organization Leadership Role
Ebonie Davis, an attorney in Armstrong Teasdale’s Kansas City office, has been elected elected president of the Jackson County Bar Association (JCBA).
JCBA is a voluntary bar association comprised primarily of African-American attorneys from throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area. JCBA was established at a time when African-American lawyers were not allowed to join the American Bar Association (ABA) or the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA). Davis previously served as JCBA’s vice president and chair of the Education Committee.
Davis primarily representing clients in real estate transactions involving a wide variety of financing methods. Skilled in negotiation, she is adept at reviewing leases, contract agreements and loan documents, and also has in-depth experience handling transactions that involve bond financing and low-income housing tax credit financing.
