Kevin Stolworthy Named Managing Attorney of Nevada Practice
Kevin Stolworthy, a partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s Litigation practice group, has been named managing attorney of Armstrong Teasdale’s Nevada operations. Stolworthy, who has practiced law in Nevada for 28 years, is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses on commercial litigation, including class actions, as well as white collar criminal defense.
“Kevin is an excellent leader with great communication skills. These strengths will serve him well in his new role as the firm continues its western expansion plans,” said Mike Chivell, Armstrong Teasdale’s managing partner. “Kevin’s extensive knowledge of Nevada business and the legal industry make him an essential partner for our clients and firm.”
Armstrong Teasdale’s Nevada practice, which is based in Las Vegas, offers services in the following areas: bankruptcy, construction, corporate, financial and real estate, insurance, intellectual property, litigation and professional liability. The firm recently opened its first Colorado office in Denver.

Stolworthy’s civil litigation practice emphasizes banking, bad faith insurance and coverage, and construction issues. His experience includes defending various business entities against consumer class action lawsuits. In addition, Stolworthy is experienced in white collar and other types of criminal defense work. This background includes managing criminal jury trials involving RICO and the Clean Air Act. He has also served for more than 20 years as an appointed member of the Federal Public Defender’s CJA Panel for U.S. District Court, District of Nevada.
Outside of his practice, Stolworthy is the co-founder and director of the I Have a Dream Foundation, Las Vegas chapter.
Stolworthy earned his J.D. from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark School of Law in 1986 and B.A., magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University in 1983.
