Matt Kitzi, Jennifer Byrne Named Co-Chairs of Emerging Companies Industry Group
Armstrong Teasdale Partners Matt Kitzi and Jennifer Byrne have been named co-chairs of the firm’s Emerging Companies industry group. The two will work together to lead the group which provides a full-range of services to start-up companies including entity selection and formation, capital raising and financing, intellectual property and employee incentive programs. Both Kitzi and Byrne are members of Armstrong Teasdale’s Corporate Services practice group.
Kitzi, who is based in mid-Missouri and works closely with the local start-up community, is also co-chair of the firm’s Securities Regulatory and Litigation practice area. He counsels brokerage firms, investment advisers, startup companies, small businesses and national corporations in securities regulation, financial services, government affairs, corporate operations and business planning strategies. Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Kitzi served as the Missouri Commissioner of Securities for seven years. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law and B.S. in International Business from Northwest Missouri State University.
Byrne concentrates her practice in general corporate issues, mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance and finance. She represents entrepreneurs, investors and companies at all stages of development in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, retail, health care, aerospace and professional services. Byrne earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, her B.S.B.A. in Accounting and International Business from Saint Louis University and is a certified public accountant.
