Matt Kitzi named to Columbia Business Times “20 under 40”
Matt Kitzi, a partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s Corporate Services and Securities Regulatory & Litigation practice groups, has been selected by the Columbia Business Times for its 2014 class of “20 Under 40.” Those chosen for the recognition are considered among the “best and brightest” of Columbia’s young business professionals, according to the magazine.
In his practice, Kitzi counsels brokerage firms, investment advisers, startup companies, small businesses and national corporations in securities regulation, financial services, government affairs, corporate operations and business planning strategies. Earlier this year, he was named a Missouri Lawyers Weekly “Up & Coming” lawyer.
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Kitzi served a seven-year term as Missouri Commissioner of Securities, working with the financial services industry during the worst U.S. financial crisis in generations. During his term as securities commissioner, Kitzi served on the board of directors of the North American Securities Administrators Association and was awarded the organization’s Outstanding Service Award and Enforcement Award. He also served on the board of trustees of the Missouri Council on Economic Education.
Admitted to practice in Missouri, Matt earned his J.D., with distinction, from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law and B.S., cum laude, in International Business from Northwest Missouri State University.
