Partner Joseph Porter Discusses Banking in the St. Louis Business Journal

Joseph T. Porter Jr., a partner in the firm’s Corporate Services and Financial and Real Estate Services practice groups, was recently interviewed by the St. Louis Business Journal as part of the Table of Experts feature titled “Inside Banking and Finance.” In the roundtable discussion with other financial services professionals, Joe commented on M&A and market saturation in the Midwest, challenges for community banks, the evolution of technology at financial institutions and critical regulatory issues that might surface with changes at the state and national government level. The feature appeared in the Business Journal's June 2 issue.

With more than 30 years of experience, Joe counsels corporations and financial institutions on transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings, financing arrangements and strategic planning. His practice focuses on the special regulatory issues involved in the operation of state and national banks. Joe provides assistance to clients with acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructurings, compliance issues, the introduction of new product lines, and expansion to other locations through branching and acquisition.
