Partner Sasha Thaler to Lead Armstrong Teasdale’s Higher Education Industry Team
Armstrong Teasdale announces that Partner Alexandra (Sasha) Thaler has been named leader of the firm’s Higher Education industry team. Thaler, who is based in the firm’s Boston office, will lead a team of more than three dozen lawyers and staff professionals across the U.S. who regularly support education institutions. She succeeds firm Partner Ramona Palmer-Eason, who will be transitioning her practice in-house at the end of the month.
More than 150 colleges and universities across the United States have relied on Armstrong Teasdale’s counsel in a broad range of areas. Our team counsels clients in all facets of their business operations and governance including as it relates to campus safety, online learning, employee relations, Title IX and other investigations, security clearance and white-collar defense.
In the higher education space, Thaler has experience conducting internal investigations relating to matters such as allegations of discrimination, harassment and unprofessional conduct. A member of the firm’s Litigation practice group, she also provides counsel on issues relating to wage-and-hour compliance, hiring, terminations, leaves of absence and discipline, drafts and interprets employment-related contracts, and handles employment-related claims from inception through resolution.
Her extensive experience in all aspects of employment law, from compliance through dispute resolution, makes her a sought-after adviser and trainer on various employment law topics.
