Passing of Managing Partner John Beulick
It is with great sadness we share the news of Managing Partner, John Beulick’s passing. John loved Armstrong Teasdale and everyone who knew him felt it. He brought a passionate commitment to the values of our firm, our people, our clients and our mission. His mentorship, leadership and friendship positively impacted the careers of attorneys and professional staff across the country.
John spent the last 23 years of his career with Armstrong Teasdale, serving as the firm’s managing partner since 2016 and member of the firm’s Executive Committee since 2002. He was elected partner in 1996, and has played a significant role in establishing and growing the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. He greatly enjoyed having an active practice and pursuing growth opportunities for the firm. John was instrumental in opening and growing the firm’s Las Vegas, Denver and Philadelphia offices. Prior to joining the firm, John enjoyed a successful career in the legal organization of General Electric Company.
Personally, John was a man of faith. His family and friends truly meant the world to him. He enjoyed watching and cheering for his alma mater, the Boomer Sooners, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved boating. He loved to golf and enjoyed a good cigar. He had a great smile. He loved to laugh and had the innate ability to laugh at himself. In the face of adversity, John set an example for all of us on how to proceed with resilience, strength and humor.
As we continue to process our grief, we recognize the importance of leadership continuity at the firm. Our Executive Committee is following the firm’s succession plan and until a successor is elected, Mike Chivell, as chairman, will assume the responsibilities of the managing partner.
Please join us in keeping John’s family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
