Three Armstrong Teasdale Attorneys in Las Vegas Named 2019 Mountain States Super Lawyers® and Rising Stars
Armstrong Teasdale is proud to announce that three attorneys in the firm’s Las Vegas office have been named to the 2019 Mountain States Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. The attorneys listed include office Managing Attorney Kevin R. Stolworthy, Litigation Partner Tracy A. DiFillippo and Litigation Associate Michelle D. Alarie.
Super Lawyers is an annual list of lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Selection for Super Lawyers includes peer nominations, a blue-ribbon panel review process and independent research on candidates.
The Rising Stars list consists of the state’s top young attorneys. The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as Super Lawyers; however, Rising Stars candidates must be 40 years old or younger, or have practiced for 10 years or less.
Stolworthy is an experienced trial lawyer whose practice encompasses commercial litigation, including class action cases, white-collar criminal defense and construction litigation. In the commercial area, his practice focuses on banking, bad faith insurance and coverage and construction issues. He represents borrowers, guarantors and financial institutions in real estate and banking law litigation, with an emphasis on deficiency, guarantor and FDIC actions.
DiFillippo regularly represents clients in commercial and business litigation matters involving contracts, construction, insurance and directors and officers (D&O) liability. This includes matters related to construction defects, mechanic's liens and breach of contract; assisting clients with insurance coverage and claim process issues, managing technical matters involving commercial general liability and D&O insurance; and class actions involving allegations of fraud, false advertising, unfair trade practices and breaches of state and federal consumer protection laws.
Alarie provides counsel in complex commercial and general litigation matters in federal court and at all levels of state court. She prosecutes and defends cases involving bad faith insurance and coverage litigation, employment and labor matters; including wrongful discharge and violations of state and federal antidiscrimination laws, construction and lien rights, contract disputes, business tort claims, breach of fiduciary duties, banking and real property issues. Alarie’s practice also encompasses federal criminal defense work.
The Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists are published in the 2019 Mountain States Super Lawyers magazine.
