Armstrong Teasdale Elects Six Partners to Committee Roles

June 3, 2021 Press Releases

Armstrong Teasdale proudly announces the election of four partners to the firm’s Executive Committee, which functions as the governing board of the firm, as well as three partners to the Compensation Committee, which is responsible for the allocation of compensation to firm equity partners.

In addition to the firm’s June leadership transition, Partner Martha N. Hereford has been re-elected to the Executive Committee for a three-year term, and Partners Robert D. Klahr and Matthew J. Reh have been newly elected to three-year terms.

In addition, Partners Patrick E. Brennan, Jennifer A. Schwesig and Jeffrey Schultz have been elected to the Compensation Committee. Brennan and Schwesig were elected for three-year terms, and Schultz will serve a two-year term.

Hereford provides immigration and naturalization services to businesses, families and individuals. She has an extensive background in providing all types of business immigration services for national and international corporations in a wide variety of industries. Her clients include multinational, publicly traded and closely held corporations, Fortune 500, as well as small to mid-sized companies.

Klahr is leader of the firm’s Financial and Real Estate Services practice group. He previously served as the co-chair of the Public Finance practice. He concentrates his practice in the areas of public-private real estate development and municipal finance. Klahr uses innovative public financing to structure complex deals that enable his clients to achieve their objectives.

Reh heads the firm’s Litigation practice group and focuses his practice on real estate litigation, tort litigation and municipal law. Representing banks, developers, pipeline companies and a wide range of governmental entities, he provides assistance in condemnation matters. His work most frequently includes using eminent domain for community redevelopment projects, public infrastructure and utilities. He also serves as outside general counsel to clients around the region.

Brennan is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group counseling clients from Fortune 500 companies to universities and startups. He regularly meets with in-house counsel, engineering and design teams to guide clients through patent preparation, prosecution, freedom-to-operate, and enforcement of U.S. and foreign patents, most often in the mechanical arts.

Schwesig serves as the leader of the firm’s International practice area. She understands that to be truly competitive, companies must have a business orientation that is global in scope. Her practice centers on counseling both domestic and foreign clients on international corporate compliance issues and business transactions in order to facilitate global expansion and management of overseas operations.

Schultz is an experienced business litigator and trial lawyer with extensive knowledge about the field of data security and privacy. This background led him to be named leader of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security practice area and co-chair of the Noncompete and Trade Secrets practice area. Schultz is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and formerly served as chair of The Missouri Bar’s Technology and Computer Law Committee.
