Armstrong Teasdale Announces Expanded EU/U.K. Competition and Regulatory Capabilities
Antitrust, competition and regulatory law has wide-ranging impact on the way companies conduct business internationally. Armstrong Teasdale’s team of more than a dozen lawyers throughout the U.S. and Europe regularly advises clients on compliance with competition and regulatory obligations unique to the jurisdictions in which they operate. Consultant Robert Bell* and Foreign Qualified Lawyer Malgorzata Janiec recently joined the firm’s London office, expanding and strengthening our capabilities in the EU and U.K.
Bell has over 30 years’ experience advising clients on complex competition and regulatory matters in both London and Brussels. He has been involved in some of the leading cases before the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), the European Commission and the U.K. Courts. He advises clients on a wide range of competition law issues including cartels; competition investigations before competition regulators like the CMA, Office of Communications (OFCOM), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the EU Commission; and competition counselling and compliance. Bell has also advised clients on competition follow-on damages and collective proceedings in the English courts.
Janiec advises clients on a wide range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, competition and other general corporate matters.
U.S. Partners Steve Foristal and Phil Louis, among others, continue to counsel clients in antitrust law. Further, U.S. Partner Jennifer Schwesig, who leads the firm’s International practice area, also handles related matters involving the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).
