Rob Golterman is a patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group. With a background in mechanical engineering and a keen understanding of patent law, he provides support in an effort to efficiently work through the patent application process.
Rob oversees the full life cycle development of patents and, as a former entrepreneur, is in tune with his clients’ needs. His varied experience in bioengineering, renewable energy, communications and optics enables him to adapt easily to new situations and technologies.
He interprets and documents the scope of inventions and ensures there are no issues with regard to existing or potential patent infringements. Rob also assists in various areas of patent prosecution including drafting and completing patentability searches, office actions, information disclosure statements and patent applications.

Before joining Armstrong Teasdale, Rob was founder and CEO of his own business. Prior to that, he was facilities and energy associate at a networking testing and monitoring equipment manufacturer, and a sales engineer for a renewable energy company.
