Biography
Sean Varley is a patent agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice group. With more than 12 years of experience in electronic hardware and embedded firmware design, he leverages his engineering background to guide clients through the patent preparation and prosecution process.
He is skilled at drafting patent applications, conducting patentability and patent clearance searches, and drafting responses to Office Actions. Sean has experience with both U.S. and foreign patent offices, including Taiwan, China, Korea, Japan and Europe.

Background
Prior to joining Armstrong Teasdale, Sean spent more than 13 years as a patent agent at an IP boutique specializing in high-technology IP for a variety of large institutional clients. Before that, he was a senior electrical engineer working on a variety of technologies for military and commercial clients.
