IP Attorney Courtney Jackson Listed in TrademarkNow’s Top 200
Courtney Jackson, a partner in Armstrong Teasdale’s Intellectual Property practice group, has been included in a list of the Top 200 USPTO Representatives in 2018 by TrademarkNow, a provider of web-based trademark management tools.
Attorneys were ranked based on the number of trademark applications filed in 2018. The list also includes other factors that were considered to analyze filing behavior and practice. Jackson filed a total of 275 trademark applications for the year, according to the report, putting her at no. 78.
Jackson focuses her practice on domestic and foreign trademark portfolio management, most often providing counsel on brand management, strategy and related operational issues involving trademarks and copyrights. Representing clients in the consumer products, fashion, retail, animal care, gaming, grocery, banking and software industries, she assists in the development, maintenance and protection of their trademark portfolios, as well as counseling clients in the creation and legal implementation of marketing promotions, including sweepstakes and contests that often involve social media.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is the second-largest trademark filing registry in the world, according to the report. The top 200 USPTO representatives accounted for 14.4% of total trademark applications filed with the USPTO in 2018.
