Biography
Viviana Ramos is a paralegal with nearly a decade of experience supporting attorneys in real estate litigation matters.
She supports the firm’s attorneys in a variety of roles pertaining to residential real estate transactions and landlord-tenant litigation. For landlord-tenant matters, Viviana collects supporting documents and begins processes for nonpayment proceedings; conducts research; prepares documents including notices and petitions; tracks filings and deadlines; coordinates with marshals and moving companies; and acts as a liaison between firm attorneys, clients, lenders and shareholders.
For residential real estate clients, Viviana acts as a transfer agent and prepares contracts of sale and other related closing documents; reviews title insurance commitments and policies; orders and reviews due diligence; issues and cancels certificates for change in ownership; assists stockholders when a stock certificate is lost, destroyed or stolen; manages all post-closing documents, UCCs and satisfactions; and records official ownership on behalf of issuers.
She has experience with various software programs including the Microsoft Office suite, WordPerfect, E-case, ACRIS and Westlaw. She is Westlaw certified and is also a public notary.
Background
Prior to joining the firm, Viviana was a paralegal at a mid-Atlantic law firm. Before that, she worked in the settlements department for another New York area law firm, focusing on workers’ compensation law.
